Boring a Stirling Engine power Cylinder

Boring a Stirling Engine power Cylinder from welded Steel pipe on a logan lathe. The search continues for more power from my stirling engine build. This includes finding cheap materials, other than cans, that can be incorporated into a high temperature design. This video is a test boring of welded seam steel pipe on the lathe, to determine speed and feed rates to cut the weld in future machining operations.

This includes finding cheap materials, other than cans, that can be incorporated into a high temperature design. This video is a test boring of welded seam steel pipe on the lathe, to determine speed and feed rates to cut the weld in future machining operations. The stirling engine design in question must be able to withstand the temperatures associated with wood and coal fired stoves. The use of “off the self “ commonly available threaded pipe may reduce the cost of building a stirling engine. = SHARE ROCKNTV1
