According to the manufactures specification sheet, the only apparent difference between the two sku numbers is the gauge of the wire 14/16 and prop 65 After looking at many online reviews I decided to buy one anyway. Firstly, because I felt most of the information given was either incorrect by well meaning people. Or, flatly wrong, people who do not understand the basic operational and electrical limitations of the device. I however knew, as I layed cash on the checkout counter, I could neither pass 50 amps of dc currant though 14 gauge wire, nor jump start a vehicle, no matter how “automotive” harbor freight calls this battery charger. The Centech 10/2/50 amp 12 volt charger has been maintaining 4, 12v batteries in rotation for three pieces of snow removal equipment this past winter and has yet to let me down. The “50 amp engine start for emergency starting” feature Is beyond embellishment, and is pure falasey. It will however charge a run down battery from a vehicle with a poor charging system. I would recommend this charger for home use, but probably not commercial or professional service.
