Logan lathe compound handwheel

Mindless Boring: Metal project, for my Logan lathe, making parts for it self. This lathe is a vintage 1952 Logan 920 screw cutting machine, which came with out a compound rest hand wheel crank. A suitable donor, was found in the corner of the shop floor and will be faced and drilled to fit the lead screw on the compound slide. A round nose high speed steel tool bit is use in a Armstrong tool holder for the facing operation, cutting in both directions to speed up the removal of material.
