4" Cross Slide lathe milling attachment

MINDLESS BORING:4"Cross Slide Drill Press Vise for a Milling Attachment on my 7x14 mini Metal lathe for vertical Milling Slide on a lathe project. So I picked up this 4" Cross Slide Vise. Intended to be a drill press vise for light hobby milling machine. This cross slide drill press vise out of the box and onto the bench in this video shows the low quality of these Cross Slide,X-Y Vise and imho not suitable for precision work. Possibly better suited as a casting kit of sort to be finished by the owner. This may involve a lot of luck as the lead screw are bent on this unit as well as much core shift in the casting causing mis-alinged dovetails.

The gib adjustments of the slides is further bodged by the .100 gape for the gib strips, yet gibs made from material i would liken to "strapping" or "banding".
